We would like to congratulate Coach Darren Alford and Coach William Rooks! They are both graduates of Georgia Southwestern and were featured in the recent publication of the Aeolian which is the university's magazine for alumni.
Coach Alford was recognized for the football team's success since taking over as the head football coach in 2016.
Coach Rooks was recognized for being in his 19th year of teaching at our school.
We are proud of our GSW graduates and their continued work here at Schley County Middle/High School!

We would like to remind the community to please help keep our kids safe by following the law and stopping for school bus crossing arms. Over the past month, we have had multiple incidents of drivers not stopping for deployed school bus crossing arms. Our school buses are equipped with camera systems which record and identify the violators. If drivers do not obey the law as it pertains to stopping for school buses, they will be issued a citation by law enforcement. Please obey the law and help keep our kids safe!

Due to safety issues, the following restrictions will be implemented regarding Valentine’s day deliveries.
If you are going to bring a Valentine to your student, there will be a table outside by the front doors with a "sign in sheet" of what the item is, what child the item goes to, and the child's teacher where the student can be found. Please place the item on the table and leave it so that we can come gather the items and make sure that they are delivered at the end of the day.
No more than a combination of three of the following items:
1. 1 Balloon not to exceed 18 inches in total height
2. 1 Stuffed animal not to exceed 20 inches in total height
3. 1 Flower arrangement per student
4. 1 Drink (if drink is attached to another listed item, it will count as two items.)
Bus riders will not be able to have a balloon on the bus due to safety concerns.
