6th Grade Orientation

Sr. Beta Induction ceremony was held Wednesday night. Congratulations to our new members.

Students in Mrs. Morrison English classes dressed up in their best 1920s attire to experience the world of The Great Gatsby. They ate 1920s tea sandwiches, and some learned how to Charleston!

Congratulations to the boys and girls track teams on both winning the region championship today.

Parents of New Sr. Beta Members: Remember the induction ceremony for new Sr. Beta members will be in the gym this Wednesday, April 17, at 5:30. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Harnage.

We have two more scholarship opportunities. Macon County residents can apply for the Malloy/Edwards Scholarship. The Main Street Grill Scholarship will be awarded to the students that will not qualify for Hope or Zell Miller but sill plans on attending college or technical school. Please pick up these applications in the media center.

STAR Student, Carson Westbrook and STAR Teacher, Keith Skipper were recognized at tonight’s school board meeting. Congratulations to you both!

Next week we will be administering the Georgia Milestone Assessments in Grades 6-8. The schedule is below. We have been working hard these final days to review and we know that they will do great! Please help us by making sure your child is well rested and ready!

The HS meet scheduled for today at Brookstone has been cancelled.

The students in Mrs. Crook’s 6th Grade ELA class completed their March Reading Bingo.

The High School track meet scheduled for tomorrow has been moved to Wednesday 4-10 at Brookstone HS in Columbus.

For any current student in 6th or 7th grade that missed the interest meeting this morning for Middle School football for next school year, there are packets in the office with important dates and information.

Don't forget tonight is Chick-fil-A Band night from 6-8:00p.m. You must go inside and order for the band to get credit. Thank you for supporting the Marching Wildcats!

Seniors...Apply for the ProMod Community Impact Scholarship worth $1000. The PROMOD Community Impact Scholarship recognizes high school students who have demonstrated outstanding dedication to making a positive difference in their community. Qualifying candidates should have a strong track record of actively engaging in volunteer work, community service projects, or initiatives that address local needs and contribute to the betterment of society. Applicants must also exhibit leadership qualities, empathy, and a commitment to fostering positive change. This scholarship aims to honor students who have shown exceptional initiative and dedication to improving the lives of others within their communities. See Mrs. Howard for an application!!
