Attention Class of 2026: If you missed the Class Ring Ceremony, Jostens will be here Tuesday, September 17th from 11:15-1:00 in the Media Center accepting class ring payments. Please bring cash or money order only. No checks will be accepted at this time. You may also pay your balance online at orders.jostens.com, OR by calling the Jostens office to pay with a debit/credit card.

GSW Dual Enrollment registration will be on Tuesday, October 29, 2024. Sign up for a time in the front office by Monday, October 21st. SGTC Dual Enrollment registration will be on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, Sign up for a time in the front office by Tuesday, October 15, 2024. GSW Minimum Requirements Minimum cumulative high school GPA of 3.0 in required highs school core courses. SGTC Minimum Requirements Minimum HOPE GPA of 2.6 for core classes. Minimum HOPE GPA of 2.0 for CTAE classes. 10th grade students who desire to take core classes have to have a minimum SAT score of 1200 or minimum ACT composite score of 26 in a single national test administration. Students may not receive funding to repeat or retake a course. After a student withdraws from two dual enrollment courses they are no longer eligible to continue to receive program funding. FFA Food Drive: Help Us Make a Difference! FFA is collecting non-perishable food items to donate to the Middle Georgia Food Bank, and we need your support. We’re asking the entire school to pitch in for this important cause. The class that donates the most items will win a Pizza Party! Donations will be accepted through Tuesday, September 10th. Let’s come together to help those in need!

FBLA members who want to attend the Fair on October 9th, please pick up a permission form from Mrs. Cheek.

Homecoming Guest Approval Forms must be submitted by Thursday, September 12th by 3pm to Mrs. Albritten. Forms are located on the bulletin board outside Mrs. Hagerson's office.

The Homecoming Dance will be held on Saturday, September 21st, from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The Homecoming Court will be introduced at 8:00 PM. All court members, including the King and Queen, should be lined up in the new concession area by 7:45 PM. Tickets are $10 per person or $15 per couple, payable at the door on the night of the dance. Please bring cash.

Schley County Elementary will be hosting their Title I Annual Meeting and Family Night at their Book Fair on September 10 from 3:30-4:30 p.m. The Book Fair will be from 3:00-6:00 p.m. that night.

Attention Faculty, Staff, and Students: Join us this Friday for our first concession stand of the year! We’re excited to offer new menu items, including chicken nuggets and cheese sticks, along with all your favorite snacks and treats. SCHEDULED SAFETY DRILL This morning the Schley County School District will be conducting a pre-planned Lockdown Drill. This drill is required by state law to be conducted annually for all schools in the State of Georgia. We also conduct this drill to practice and prepare our staff, students and local emergency responders to appropriately respond in the event of an armed intruder on our campus. This drill will take approximately 30 minutes to complete. If you attempt to visit the school during the drill you will not be able to enter until the drill is completed. We appreciate your support and assistance in providing for the safety and security of our students and staff.

As part of our commitment to safety and security preparedness, our students and staff will practice various drills throughout the year. This will help ensure that our students are able to react quickly in the case of an actual emergency. HB 147 requires that schools conduct an intruder alert drill prior to October 1. Schley County will hold its drill Thursday, September 5th. Our goal will be to communicate with students so they can be familiar with what to do in an emergency situation. Schley County First Responders and Emergency Management personnel will also participate in order for them to be prepared, as well. Practicing various drills is a critical step in ensuring our students are prepared to react quickly and are practiced and comfortable with emergency procedures.

The FFA Mums sale is back. Make sure to see a member to place your orders. Our goal is 2000 this year. The sale will continue through September the 4th with the delivery date being the week of September the 17-21th. The mums will be delivered to the SCHS greenhouse where they can be pickup. The price is $12 each (8 inch pot size) and the colors available are yellow, orange, red and purple this year. Thank you for your continued support.
