DUAL ENROLLMENT
DUAL ENROLLMENT / POST-SECONDARY OPTIONS - GENERAL
The Post-Secondary Options Program provides for students who are at least 16 years of age or older and who are classified as juniors or seniors in Georgia public schools to take courses full-time or part-time at Georgia public colleges, universities, or technical institutions where they have been accepted to receive high school Carnegie unit credits(s) and post-secondary credit hours. Interested students should contact the Guidance Counselor for information on admission requirements.
Grades received in these college courses will have 1 point per semester hour added to it when figuring honor graduate average (i.e. a B (85) in a 3-hour semester college course will be an 88).
*All students must maintain a full time high school status by being enrolled in 7 traditional high school courses or 4 high school traditional courses + 1 or more post secondary 3 hour course(s) each semester.
DUAL ENROLLMENT / POST-SECONDARY OPTIONS - MOVE ON WHEN READY
Move On When Ready (MOWR) is a new dual enrollment opportunity for students to attend a postsecondary institution full-time during their junior and/or senior year of high school. Students will receive high school credit and college credit simultaneously while attending college classes on the college campus full-time. Approved college on-line courses can also be taken that meet high school graduation requirements. Students must meet admission requirements of the college the student attends. See the counselor for more details.
