Congratulations to our Boys and Girls Track teams on their finishes at the State Track Meet. The girls finished in 9th place and the boys finished in 7th place. The following athletes placed at the State Meet:
Daneria Thornton: 3rd place 100m Hurdles and 3rd place long jump, Kaleigh Johnson: 14th place 3200m, Jamesen Hollomon: 12th place high jump, Emily Wilder: 2nd place pole vault, Kate Saint: 4th place pole vault, Emma Campbell: 5th place pole vault, Layla Williams: 8th place discus, TaNiya Holt: 10th place shot put, Tyrese Cook: 6th place 300m Hurdles, 6th place high jump, 9th place 110m Hurdles, Declan Ekkel: 2nd place pole vault, Sterling Blanchard: 5th place pole vault, Braylon Baldwin: 7th place pole vault, Wyatt Halstead: 3rd place discus and 13th place shot put, Zayden Walker: 5th place shot put, 4x800m Relay Team (Declan Ekkel, Tray Thomas, Markus Sowell, Ethan Bliss) 12th place.
Yearbook balance reminder!!
Seniors are reminded of awards day practice tomorrow, Monday, morning at 8:00 a.m.
Middle and High school students need to stop by the media center to see if they have any fines or outstanding books. Fines and books must be cleared by May 22 in order for report cards to be issued.
Graduation Reminders
On Monday, May 7, Schley County High School hosted a Future Educator Signing Event for students who completed the Teaching as a Profession Pathway. Caylee Skipper and Riley Schultz plan to attend Georgia Southwestern State University where they will major in education.
There will be a section of the back student parking lot closed in front of the greenhouses tomorrow due to concrete work. Please stay clear of this marked area.
The State Track Meet is at East Jackson High School: 1435 Hoods Mill Rd, Commerce, GA 30529. Good luck to our athletes as they compete Thursday May 9 thru Saturday May 11.
There will be a free physical clinic here at the school on Wednesday May 15 beginning at 3:30. If your child plans to participate in any athletic activity or band in the coming school year they will need an up-to-date physical. 6th Grade Orientation
The Wildcats won game one 6-3 over Lanier Co. Game two was rained out tied at 1 in the bottom of the 3rd inning. We will resume game 2 at 2:00pm on Monday. Your ticket purchased today will grant admission. If game 2 goes to Lanier, the park must be cleared and all spectators must purchase a $7 game 3 ticket to reenter.

Congratulations to the following pole vaulters for qualifying for the State Meet next week: Emma Campbell, Kate Saint, Emily Wilder, Braylon Baldwin, Sterling Blanchard, and Declan Ekkel. The rest of the track athletes will compete Saturday at Hugh Mills in Albany for their chance to compete at Sectionals and advance to the State Meet.

All Seniors need to see Coach Rooks to give him your t-shirt size and to pick up senior trip information. Senior trip will be Wednesday, May 22. You fee must be paid by May 10.
