They received their acceptance to Georgia Tech this morning! Georgia Tech chose some schools to visit today to present acceptance letters early.
We would like to thank Ms. Christina Scott from Georgia Tech's admissions office for making the trip to our school to present Connor and Tyler their acceptance letters!
Congratulations to the following students for winning 1st Place in the Chattahoochee-Flint RESA Young Georgia Author's Competition! In 6th grade, we have Elizabeth Kuhn and in 9th grade, we have Sydney Hollis. They will now go on to the state competition against the winners from the other RESA districts in Georgia. Congratulations to them and their teachers, Mrs. Crook and Mrs. Roland!
If you are going to be in the 11th or 12th grade next school year and are interested in Work Based Learning, Teacher Apprentice or Information Technology, pick up an application from Mrs. Hagerson today.

Connor Rhyne and Coach William Rooks were recognized last night at the Regional STAR Student and STAR Teacher Dinner at Columbus State University. Congratulations to you both!
Schley County High School has been recognized by the Georgia Department of Education as an Advanced Placement Honor School in the categories of Challenge and Expansion. Recipients of the Challenge category are schools that have less than 900 students and offer a variety of AP courses. Recipients of the Expansion category are schools that have shown a 25% or more growth in AP enrollment.
