Schley County Schools will be closed for Monday, March 16 .

Due to weather predictions for severe weather overnight and possibly into the morning, Schley County Schools will be closed. Please take precautions for any weather conditions that may occur. We want everyone to be safe and aware of this weather. If any conditions warrant further actions we will notify everyone.

Congratulations to Coach Gabe Theiss on being named Region 6-A DII Athletic Director of the Year!! What a very deserving recognition! Great job Coach Theiss! We appreciate all that you do for Schley County Schools and our students and athletes.

Our school district was proudly represented in this year’s Young Georgia Author Competition!

Congratulations to our District-Level Winners:
Fischer Merritt, 6th grade, for his story “Imprinters”
Joseph Lingefelt, 9th grade, for his story “The Attack on Mother Base”

Both Fischer and Joseph will advance to the state-level competition, where their work will be judged alongside top entries from districts across Georgia. We wish them the very best as they continue in the competition!

We also would like to recognize the Honorable Mentions:
Olivia Wintersmith, 7th grade – “Streetlights”
Sydney Hollis, 10th grade – “Untethered”
Tilden Hobgood, 12th grade – “The Price of Wisdom”

This is the last week of Pre-K, Kindergarten, and Out-of-County registration. Come and get your child registered for the 2026-2027 school year!
