
Tonight's football game at Macon Co. has been postponed. We are looking at tomorrow early afternoon or Monday night. Stay tuned.

Due to the deteriorating weather conditions on Thursday and the severe weather expected early Friday morning, Schley County Schools will be closed on Thursday and Friday, September 26 and 27th. All Thursday afterschool events have been cancelled. Weather permitting, maintenance and custodial staffs will report at noon on Friday. We hope everyone is safe throughout the predicted weather.

Reminder to get your registrations and hole sponsorships in for the Golf Tournament on Friday Oct. 11. All proceeds will benefit the Cross Country, Golf and Track teams.

Mrs. Crook’s 6th grade class was able to walk around the room and read each task card to determine what type of figurative language each sentence contained.









Schley Co. FFA mums are arriving to the school's greenhouse tomorrow, Thursday, September 19. They will be available for pickup after school until 5 on Thursday and Friday all day until 5, and Saturday from 9-11am. If you have questions just please send me an email at esellers@schleyk12.org.

Congratulations to our Middle School Junior Beta Club! They have been recognized as a National Beta School of Distinction. Students that are members of the Junior Beta Club have to meet high academic standards in English, Math, Science, and Social Studies in order to receive an invitation to join. Our sponsor, Mrs. Kayla Dupree, and our students have done an excellent job!

Attention Class of 2025: Senior Celebration is Tuesday, September 17th during your lunch. Plan to celebrate your year with your classmates as Jostens delivers select Senior items from your online order. If you did not order at gagrad.com, it is not too late to order. Visit gagrad.com today, or place your order in person with a $100 deposit on Tuesday, September 17th from 11:15-1:00 in the Media Center. Once again, Senior Celebration is Tuesday, September 17th.

Seniors, if you plan to attend the Probe Fair field trip on Thursday, September 26th, permission slips are due back Thursday, September 19th.

Attention Seniors: If you are interested in hearing more information about GA Tech's admission requirements and application process. We will have a GA Tech admissions counselor visit on Friday, September 20th at 9AM. Please sign up outside Mrs. Hagerson's door if you plan to attend.

Attention Class of 2026: If you missed the Class Ring Ceremony, Jostens will be here Tuesday, September 17th from 11:15-1:00 in the Media Center accepting class ring payments. Please bring cash or money order only. No checks will be accepted at this time. You may also pay your balance online at orders.jostens.com, OR by calling the Jostens office to pay with a debit/credit card.

GSW Dual Enrollment registration will be on Tuesday, October 29, 2024. Sign up for a time in the front office by Monday, October 21st.
SGTC Dual Enrollment registration will be on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, Sign up for a time in the front office by Tuesday, October 15, 2024.
GSW Minimum Requirements
Minimum cumulative high school GPA of 3.0 in required highs school core courses.
SGTC Minimum Requirements
Minimum HOPE GPA of 2.6 for core classes.
Minimum HOPE GPA of 2.0 for CTAE classes.
10th grade students who desire to take core classes have to have a minimum SAT score of 1200 or minimum ACT composite score of 26 in a single national test administration. Students may not receive funding to repeat or retake a course. After a student withdraws from two dual enrollment courses they are no longer eligible to continue to receive program funding.

FFA Food Drive: Help Us Make a Difference! FFA is collecting non-perishable food items to donate to the Middle Georgia Food Bank, and we need your support. We’re asking the entire school to pitch in for this important cause. The class that donates the most items will win a Pizza Party! Donations will be accepted through Tuesday, September 10th. Let’s come together to help those in need!

FBLA members who want to attend the Fair on October 9th, please pick up a permission form from Mrs. Cheek.

Homecoming Guest Approval Forms must be submitted by Thursday, September 12th by 3pm to Mrs. Albritten. Forms are located on the bulletin board outside Mrs. Hagerson's office.

The Homecoming Dance will be held on Saturday, September 21st, from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The Homecoming Court will be introduced at 8:00 PM. All court members, including the King and Queen, should be lined up in the new concession area by 7:45 PM.
Tickets are $10 per person or $15 per couple, payable at the door on the night of the dance. Please bring cash.
