Varsity football hosts Pelham tonight for Homecoming. Kickoff is at 7:30. Tickets are $10. The court will be announced at halftime. Arrive early for a yearbook photo of the stands for the yearbook cover. The picture will be take before 7:00.
The Wildcats walk it off in the bottom of the 8th to defeat Glascock Co. 6-5 to advance to the sweet sixteen. We will travel to ECI next week. Stay tuned for details.
MS football travels to Chattahoochee Co. today for the final regular season game of the season. Kickoff is at 5:00.
Great day here on campus. Varsity softball hosts Glascock Co. in a winner-take-all playoff game 3 at 3:00. ($7) JV football hosts Marion Co. at 5:00 with the annual powderpuff Jr/Sr game to follow. ($5)
The softball team split with Glascock Co. today 0-7 and 14-4 to force a game 3 winner take all game tomorrow. First pitch will be at 3:00. Come out and support these young ladies as they try to advance to the sweet 16.
SCHS will be hosting Apply to College Day for all seniors to participate in applying to college. A representative from GSW and SGTC will be here to help students apply to their colleges. We will also assist students in applying to any college. Through the month of November GSW and SGTC will be waiving application fees.
The event will be held on Friday, November 12th from 8:30-11:00 AM in the high school media center. Seniors who are planning to participate should sign up for a time outside the front office.

Presale tickets for Friday night’s homecoming game will be on sale for $8 in the high school office Wednesday 12-2:30 and Thursday 8:30-2:30.

Softball Playoffs start Wednesday. We will host Glascock Co. for a DH beginning at 4:00. The “if” game will be at 3:00 Thursday.
The MS football game scheduled for Wednesday at Chattahoochee Co. has been moved to Thursday October 14.

MS softball plays this afternoon at Taylor Co. in the first round of the region playoffs. First pitch is at 5:00.
Schley County Schools will be participating in the Scripps National Spelling Bee this year. The bee will be open to students in grades 4-8. The class bees will take place in November and the system bee will be in January. We are so excited that the Kiwanis Club of Americus is sponsoring us for the spelling bee this year! This will be a fun time for our students to have some academic competition. Students can practice at home with spelling lists provided by their teachers and online lists as well. More information to come as the date approaches!
