Attention Seniors and Senior Parents...The time of the Senior Walk will be at 7:30. Seniors should arrive at 7:00 to prep for the Senior Walk.

Cheerleading interest meeting information.

The School Day ACT will be held on Tuesday, March 30, 2021. Students who registered should be sure they have picked up their Pre-Test materials from Mrs. Hernandez this week. There is important information the student must complete online within two days of completing the test. Students should bring their own calculator and two #2, non-mechanical pencils on test day. Students who have not paid must do so before the test. Students who have paid may pick up their receipt on test day.

Senior parents...Due to Covid-19 restrictions, parents of seniors will be allowed to view the senior walk at the front gate of The Lee Council House. Please know, the senior walk is limited to senior parents only. There will be limited parking at The Lee Council House. We are asking parents to park at Napa Auto and walk over. The senior walk will start promptly at 8:30. Only staff and prom attendees will be allowed inside the gate. For any questions, please contact Addie Hart at 229-937-0560.

The Albany Exchange Club has graciously donated a Freedom Shrine to our middle/high school. The Freedom Shrine is a collection of American historical documents that are displayed through several plaques. The Albany Exchange Club donated the plaques and labor to display them in the hallway between the 6th & 7th grades. We are thankful for their donation! They will return in the fall for the dedication of the Freedom Shrine.

Good Afternoon High School Students: We will be offering a “makeup” registration day for anyone who missed GSW or SGTC dual enrollment registration for summer and/or fall semester. SGTC will be on Friday, March 26, from 8-12 a.m. GSW will be on Tuesday, March 23, from 12:30-2:30 p.m.. Please sign up with Mrs. Hagerson in the front office. Dual enrollment requirements for GSW and SGTC have changed due to Covid-19. GSW testing requirements (SAT and/or ACT) are being waived for 11th and 12th grade students; any 10th grade student who enrolls with GSW will have to meet the Zell Miller Scholarship testing requirements. Current 11th and 12th grade students are required to have a 3.0 HOPE GPA and have already taken and passed two English and two math classes. SGTC testing requirements are being waived for 10th-12th grade students; students are required to have a 2.6 HOPE GPA. Tenth graders are eligible to take only CTAE classes at SGTC.

Dear Parents, Based on the current weather models available, there will be severe weather risks that are substantial during arrival time. The time frame for this system would still exist for a delayed start. For this reason, we will be closed for tomorrow and will resume classes on Friday. Please be safe and monitor these weather conditions for tonight and tomorrow morning.

At this time we are continuing to monitor the forecast for tomorrow's weather. The time frame for the arrival of severe weather Thursday morning is still very wide. The county is also split with two different risk levels. The window of the stronger weather is between 5:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. Currently, we have not made any changes in arrival times or made any cancellations. We will continue to monitor all updates prior to 6:00 p.m. today so that we make the best decision for the safety of our students.
