Good Afternoon High School Students:
We will be offering a “makeup” registration day for anyone who missed GSW or SGTC dual enrollment registration for summer and/or fall semester.
SGTC will be on Friday, March 26, from 8-12 a.m. GSW will be on Tuesday, March 23, from 12:30-2:30 p.m.. Please sign up with Mrs. Hagerson in the front office.
Dual enrollment requirements for GSW and SGTC have changed due to Covid-19. GSW testing requirements (SAT and/or ACT) are being waived for 11th and 12th grade students; any 10th grade student who enrolls with GSW will have to meet the Zell Miller Scholarship testing requirements. Current 11th and 12th grade students are required to have a 3.0 HOPE GPA and have already taken and passed two English and two math classes. SGTC testing requirements are being waived for 10th-12th grade students; students are required to have a 2.6 HOPE GPA. Tenth graders are eligible to take only CTAE classes at SGTC.

Based on the current weather models available, there will be severe weather risks that are substantial during arrival time. The time frame for this system would still exist for a delayed start. For this reason, we will be closed for tomorrow and will resume classes on Friday. Please be safe and monitor these weather conditions for tonight and tomorrow morning.
The JV baseball DH scheduled for today will be played AT Deerfield not here.
The track meet in Macon today has been cancelled. It will be run on Monday, April 5.
At this time we are continuing to monitor the forecast for tomorrow's weather. The time frame for the arrival of severe weather Thursday morning is still very wide. The county is also split with two different risk levels. The window of the stronger weather is between 5:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. Currently, we have not made any changes in arrival times or made any cancellations. We will continue to monitor all updates prior to 6:00 p.m. today so that we make the best decision for the safety of our students.
Game update: The varsity baseball game vs. Marion today will be played at 5:00 instead of 5:30.
Prom Reminders: Prom will be held at the Lee Council House on March 27, from 7:00-10:00 p.m. Senior walk will be held at 8:30. Anyone attending prom should park at NAPA Auto Parts, 134 South Lee Street, and ride the trolley. There will be NO PARKING at the Lee Council House. The trolley is reserved from 6:30-10:30p.m.
The JV Baseball DH scheduled for today 3/15 has been cancelled.
Any student currently in 7th-11th grade interested in trying out for color guard or winter guard for the 2021-2022 school year may come get an interest form from Mrs. Brunson. Forms are due back by April 9.
South Georgia State College is waiving its Admissions Application Fee March 15th - April 15th.
