Class of 2021 Update...SAT/ACT, HOPE and Zell Miller Scholarship Information
On March 12, 2021, Governor Brian Kemp signed Executive Order 3.12.21.01, extending the deadline for students who will graduate in the Class of 2021 to submit a qualifying test score to receive the Zell Miller Scholarship. Pursuant to the Governor’s Executive Order, students in the Class of 2021 now have until June 30, 2022, to submit a qualifying test score to the Georgia Student Finance Commission.

Boys and girls, 8th-11th grade, interested in basketball should see Coach Scott today to sign up.

FFA Officer applications can be found in Mr. Seller's door. Completed applications are due April 9, to Mr. Sellers.

The JV game today has been cancelled and rescheduled for Thursday April 15.

The Track Meet scheduled for today at Mt. DeSales has been cancelled.

There will be a FFA Chapter Meeting today after school until 4:30.

There will be a cheerleading interest meeting to anyone interested in trying out for JV or Varsity cheerleading on Monday, April 5, at 6:00 p.m. in the high school cafeteria. This meeting will be beneficial for new and returning tryout candidates.

Sign-ups for JV and Varsity Cheerleading are posted on the glass outside of the front office. Packets are available for pick up in the office and are due to Mrs. Cheek on Tuesday, April 13.

Students who received a letter about Sr. Beta membership and/or Sr. Beta t-shirts, don't forget the deadline to have this information turned in to Mrs. Harnage is this Friday, April 2. See Mrs. Harnage if you have any questions.

6th grade orientation will be held Thursday, May 6 from 5:30-6:00 in the middle/high school lunchroom. Parents will park in the parking lot between schools and enter the side doors of the middle school. Everyone who attends is required to wear a mask. Congratulations to the SCHS Literary Team who came in second place overall at last Friday's regional tournament. Special Congratulations to Brooke Pike and Lily Harbuck wo won first place in Duo Oral Presentation and will be competing in the state tournment at GA Military College on April 24.
