
The softball team split with Glascock Co. today 0-7 and 14-4 to force a game 3 winner take all game tomorrow. First pitch will be at 3:00. Come out and support these young ladies as they try to advance to the sweet 16.

SCHS will be hosting Apply to College Day for all seniors to participate in applying to college. A representative from GSW and SGTC will be here to help students apply to their colleges. We will also assist students in applying to any college. Through the month of November GSW and SGTC will be waiving application fees.
The event will be held on Friday, November 12th from 8:30-11:00 AM in the high school media center. Seniors who are planning to participate should sign up for a time outside the front office.

Presale tickets for Friday night’s homecoming game will be on sale for $8 in the high school office Wednesday 12-2:30 and Thursday 8:30-2:30.

It’s playoff time!!! Varsity softball hosts Glascock Co. In the first round of the GHSA state playoffs today. First pitch for the DH is at 4:00 and admission is $10.

Softball Playoffs start Wednesday. We will host Glascock Co. for a DH beginning at 4:00. The “if” game will be at 3:00 Thursday.


The MS football game scheduled for Wednesday at Chattahoochee Co. has been moved to Thursday October 14.

MS softball plays this afternoon at Taylor Co. in the first round of the region playoffs. First pitch is at 5:00.

Schley County Schools will be participating in the Scripps National Spelling Bee this year. The bee will be open to students in grades 4-8. The class bees will take place in November and the system bee will be in January. We are so excited that the Kiwanis Club of Americus is sponsoring us for the spelling bee this year! This will be a fun time for our students to have some academic competition. Students can practice at home with spelling lists provided by their teachers and online lists as well. More information to come as the date approaches!

The Varsity softball game vs. Brookstone this afternoon has been cancelled and will NOT be made up.
The MS football game scheduled for this afternoon at Chattahoochee County has been postponed until next Wednesday 10/13.

The MS Softball game at Taylor Co. has been postponed until Thursday afternoon. The Cross Country meet today has been cancelled.

FCCLA will be collecting candygram orders through this Thursday. They are $1 each and can be sent to anyone in the school system. Middle school students may turn in orders to your homeroom teacher. High school students please see Mrs. Driver to place orders.

Students who are interested in taking the ASVAB test, please sign up outside Mrs. Green's office. The ASVAB will be given here on November 5, at 8:30.

Tractor Driving/Operation Competition 2021
Schley County FFA placed seventh out of twenty-one in this year's Tractor Driving/Operation Competition. Our School was represented by sophomore Jack Clark. In this competition students are required to drive a tractor through a set up obstacle course and answer various questions about tractor operation and parts of a tractor. A special shoutout to Jack Clark for competing in this competition.

Thursday's JV game vs. Crawford Co. has been cancelled. We will attempt to reschedule so stay tuned.
