A huge thank you to Todd Hatcher, Milton Stembridge, Amanda Methe, Laura Forehand, Teresa Edwards, Mark Long, Tiffany James, and Taryn Crenshaw for volunteering time and expertise for our free physical clinic today. They got well over 100 physicals completed for our students.
The Schley County Retired Educators honor the memory of loved ones who have passed away in 2021-2022 by making a donation to the Schley County Middle/High School Media Center to purchase books for students. Those remembered with love are Pat Bridges, Schley County Retired Educator, Deidra Gilley, Sister of Frances Heath, Linda Pilcher, Schley County Bus Driver, Helen Smith Schley County Retired Educator, Freddie Snider, Brother of Stephanie Holloway, Jamie Turner, RESA Language Arts Consultant and Mr. Todd West, SCM/HS Principal. The doors will open at 8:00 a.m., Saturday morning at the Storm Dome. Graduation will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m.

Senior Parents & Students,
The weather forecast for Saturday is calling for an increased chance of rain. Due to the uncertainty of the weather forecast on Saturday and without the availability of our gym, we will be moving the graduation ceremony to Georgia Southwestern State University's Storm Dome. The time is still at 9:00 a.m. We are making this decision now to give families time to adjust their schedules for the new venue. Our gym is currently covered and being used for storage due to summer renovation. The facilities at GSW will offer a large climate-controlled space to comfortably honor our graduates.
Graduation practice for tomorrow will be at the elementary school gym at 9:00 a.m. Students may park in any open spaces in the teacher parking lots or the student parking lot. Mrs. Conner will give more information to graduates in the morning.
We appreciate your understanding as we look forward to an uninterrupted graduation ceremony.
Friday will be the last day to pick up yearbooks. Please pick up by 1:00.
Parents and student can come by the school and pick up yearbooks! We have plenty of extra books for anyone that still wants to purchase one. Cost is $60
The boys golf team is tied for 4th after round 1 and just 2 strokes out of 3rd place. Destiny LeCroy also played a great round today at the girls site. Let’s go get them tomorrow.
Seniors are reminded to be at school tomorrow, May 17, by 7:45 a.m., for the elementary walk-thru, cap and gown pictures, and senior breakfast. Graduation attire is required.

Graduation Parking Information:
1. The entrance to handicap parking will be the first drive at the elementary school that leads into the athletic complex. Handicap parking spaces are limited; encourage people in need of handicap parking to get there early.
2. No vehicle traffic will be allowed behind the school in the field house area. This will be pedestrian traffic only.
3. Construction will be starting on the back portion of the high school. Please stay out of the construction area.
Happy Fri-YAY!! Mrs. Crook's homeroom wanted to give a huge shoutout to Mrs. Buchanan and Coach Burgess for preparing and allowing us to participate in field day! My kiddos looked forward to it and couldn't wait for our day to participate! We appreciate all your hard work and look forward to next year!!
