Attention Juniors and Seniors...SGTC dual enrollment spring registration will be on November 10. The deadline to sign up is Friday, November 4.

FAFSA student/parent day will be held October 17, from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. Seniors who are planning to participate should sign up for a time outside the front office.

Attention Seniors!!
SCHS will be hosting Apply to College Day for all seniors to participate in applying to college.
A representative from Georgia Southwestern State University and South Georgia Technical College will be here to help students apply to their colleges. We will also assist students in applying to any college.
Through the month of November GSW and SGTC will be waiving application fees.
The event will be held on Wednesday, November 16, from 8:30-10:30 a.m., in the high school media center. Seniors who are planning to participate should sign up for a time outside the front office.

Attention all club members attending the fair...any bag or purse bigger than a wallet will not be allowed into the fairground unless it is clear.


Attention FBLA members who will be attending the fair next Wednesday...If you will not be coming back on the FBLA bus and are planning to stay to either ride on the FFA bus back or have a parent sign you out, you must bring a permission letter from your parent to Mrs. Cheek tomorrow. Also, permission forms to attend the faire were due last Friday. If you did not turn your in, you will not be attending.

Attention All Students: We have a new game starting in the Media Center. Every time a student comes in and checks out a new book they get to make a guess at how much candy is in the jar. Each Friday of October, we will announce a new winner and they will get to take the candy jar home! Come by and check out a book today!

Congratulations to the Wildcat Marching Band who received overall Superior ratings at the Valhalla Classic on Saturday. We are so proud of you and how you represent our school!



Your Marching Wildcats have their annual competition tomorrow at Northgate High School, 3220 Fischer Rd, Newnan, GA 30265. The competition begins at 2:45 and we will perform at 3:00 sharp. Come out and support the best band in the land.

During MTSS (the enrichment part of our school day) several groups of students from Mrs. Nikki Smith’s GA History class worked together to build replicas of famous historical places. The replicas were build using micro mini blocks and took between 20 and 30 hours to complete. The students enjoyed this project so much that both groups have already started on another project, the completion of the Smolny Cathedral and Big Ben.

SANFILIPPO SYNDROME CAR WASH FUNDRAISER
(HOSTED BY SCHS FFA)
The FFA will be hosting a car wash fundraiser and will be donating all the proceeds to the Cure Sanfillippo Foundation. The event will be hosted on Saturday, October 15th from 2:00 pm-5:00 pm at the Ameris Bank parking lot the address is: 285 S Broad St, Ellaville, GA 31806.
· Price for car wash will be a minimum donation of $10.00
· Price for a car wash and a T-shirt will be a minimum donation of $25.00

Students in Mrs. Crook's 6th grade ELA class have been writing narratives for the past several weeks. This week Mrs. Crook and Mrs. Hart conferenced with individual students on their writing progress and made editing changes. Each student received 15 minutes of individual conferencing time with a teacher before finalizing their papers.




The next SAT date is November 5; the registration deadline is October 7. Go online to SAT.org and sign up if you need to take it. There is also a test on December 3. If you have questions about how to sign up to take these, see Mrs. Hagerson or Mrs. Green.
