Students in Honors Geometry explored the real world application of transformations. First, students designed apartments. They then created an apartment complex using isometric transformations (rotations, translations and reflections). For an extra challenge, students incorporated a non-isometric transformation - an apartment dilated with a scale factor of 2. Students then marketed their apartment complexes with flyers. Over the next week, students will vote on the best design and marketing strategy.
