All Senior Beta members need to check their school email by Wednesday afternoon.

This past weekend, Schley County's One Act Play, Detention Tension, won fourth place at regional competition. Additionally, Levi Phillips and Kayden Poole were named to the All-Star Cast for their performances. Please congratulate them should you see them in the halls!

Ticketing for the football game at Marion Co: They are a GoFan only facility but do accept cards, Apple Pay and Google pay at the gate. There will be no cash at the gate. There is a clear bag policy and metal detectors at the gate.

In Coach Skipper's class, students are assigned a European explorer to research and make a PowerPoint of. They are researching their life, their voyage, their impact and also making a journal entry as if they were the explorer on his voyage.





Senior Beta will meet today at 2:45 p.m. in Mrs. Harnage's room.

Mrs. Roland's English 1 classes used aluminum foil to learn about character foils. Students illustrated a two-sided character head to represent character foils in The Outsiders. The aluminum foil was used to illustrate each character's foil.








Today, Mrs. Robinson's 7th grade S.S. class built pieces to represent the Middle East Economies and how they spend money. They are currently learning about the economic systems of Israel, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia.

High school students wishing to request a schedule change for second semester must submit their request by November 10. A link has been emailed to all high school students.

Students in Mrs. Crook’s 6th grade ELA class worked on the plot development of a short story while enjoying the fall air outside.











SCHS will be hosting Apply to College Day for all seniors on Wednesday, November 8th, from 9:00-11:00 am. Representatives from GSW and SGTC will be here to help students apply to their colleges. Our staff will assist students in applying to any college. Through the month of November GSW and SGTC will be waiving application fees.
During our Georgia Apply to College event, seniors will be given the opportunity to apply to college using GAfutures.org, Georgia’s new online resource to help students plan, apply and find affordable ways to pay for college. Seniors interested in participating in the Apply to College event will need to sign up for a time in the front office by Friday, November 3, 2023.
Seniors may either submit their application(s) during the event or save it to submit at a later time. On the day of our event, we will encourage students who do not have access to a payment method at school to save their application to submit at home.


A reminder that we will have the PSAT tomorrow:
-Begins at 8am, report to GYM at 7:55.
-NO electronic devices in the testing room, please leave in locker.

Madison Hernandez is having Music Class in Mrs. MailHOT’s 2nd Grade Class. Today the students practiced holding their Recorders correctly and playing B, A, and G notes! Madison is a teacher apprentice student in the Work Based Learning program.

The Lady Wildcats defeated Christian Heritage 11-1 yesterday to advance to the winners bracket but dropped game 2 1-0 in 10 innings to host Glascock Co. They will now have to win 3 today to advance to Columbus. They play Towns Co. at 1:00 today stay alive. Go get 'em girls.
