Parents & Students,
It is my pleasure to report to you that our school did an excellent job this past school year on our Georgia Milestone Test Scores. Here are some highlights below:
- Out of the 12 Milestone Tests, our school led our RESA Area of 13 counties on 10 of the tests.
- In comparison to state school system results, we did exceptionally well in the following areas:
- 7th Grade Math was #9
- 8th Grade Science was #11
- Biology was #20
- US History was #4
To continue to grow and improve, our district has invested in two new programs to help us enrich and support our students' learning.
- The 1st program is Georgia MAP from the Northwest Evaluation Association (NWEA)
- MAP will enable us to assess student knowledge in middle school 3 times a year and 2 times a semester for the high school courses.
- Instant data will enable our teachers to better pinpoint strengths and weaknesses of every student to improve instruction.
- The 2nd program is Classworks.
- Classworks will use MAP assessment data to create a program of interventions for enrichment and support activities for students.
- Teachers will utilize the interventions to better serve our students.
We are very fortunate to have great teachers, staff, and students. Your support is greatly appreciated! We will continue to push forward as we continue to maximize each student's potential through high expectations and an exceptional school climate.
