Karen Weathersby is a 2016 honor graduate of Schley County High School. She was the STAR Student and chose Coach William Rooks as her STAR Teacher. After high school, Karen went on to the University of Georgia graduating with a degree in human development in 2020. She decided to do Teach for America for two years, moving to Louisiana. Her first year she taught 5th grade math and her second year she taught 6th grade math. After her time was up for Teach for America, she moved to another school close to her home and taught 6th grade math. In June of this year, she was offered a 6th grade math teaching position in Richmond, VA.
Karen is the daughter of Randy & Judi Weathersby.
